There are 4 groups of samples undergoing testing.
Group 1 : Permanent Sea water immersion
Group 2 : UVA 340nm 4h+4h 3000h
Group 3 : Cycle testing
Group 4 : Outdoor weathering test

Cycle test will be arranged until the samples cannot be accepted or damaged.

Testing Purpose : To evaluate the resistance to salt water as is found in maritime environments.
The test is especially important for products which are used in saline environments such as shipyards, cruise ships, yachts, cargo ships or the navy.

Standards : IEC60068 / ASTM B117
Testing Conditions: 72hours 5% NaCl @38℃
PASS: Level 10

There are 4 types of Salt Spray Resistance Testing:
NSS: Neutral Salt Spray Test
AASS: Acetic Acid Salt Spray test
CASS: Copper-Accelerated Acetic Acid-Salt Spray Testing
Salt mist , Cyclic

Testing Purpose : To provide a perfect simulation of sunshine in the critical shortwave range of 295nm - 365nm
which is mainly responsible for the damaging of polymers and silicones.
UV shortwaves can badly damage the Flex Neon , caused color changes, such as yellowing, fading, and loss of gloss
meanwhile, tearing , flaking, chalking and chipping , loss of mechanical stability and physical aging

Standards: ISO 4892-3 / ASTM G154 / SAE J 2020
Test Conditions : QUV-A 102 mins @340nm + QUV-B 18mins @313nm cycle testing
PASS: no yellowing, no physical damage

Testing Purpose: To evaluates the reaction of the material to fast temerature changes.
As the Flex Neon might be used in cold ambient temeratures ,also in heat from thermal springs ;

Standards: IEC 60068 / GB/T 2423 / GJB150.5 / GJB360.7
Testing Conditions: 16 hours @-40℃ - 70℃ ，10 cycles
PASS: no physical damage

Testing Purpose : To determinate the products if can be immersed in water for years
Standards: IEC 60529 / GB/T 4208
PASS: No water is allowed to penetrate the housing
Conditon: 5 days in a 5meter deep water column at a pressure of 1.5bar

Why is 1.5bar ?
Normally, the deepest of a swimming pool designed is 5 meters, the standard atmospheric pressure at 5 meters is 1.5bar.
